This session is geared toward providing the tools to help you, the classroom teacher, connect with your students, their parents, and the general public. You will receive the information you need to create a classroom website. Other topics include blogging, creating a classroom newsletter, creating Assignments Summaries and Plan Books in Harmony, and emailing parents. Get connected and stay connected!

This session will have some instructor-led time with the majority of time being used for self-paced research, learning, and project creation. Please come to your session with a project in mind. Have some ideas of what you want your end product to look like, what content you want, etc.

What to bring

Paper and pen/pencil.
Ideas of a project or lesson you may want to create that will incorporate some of the topics discussed in this session.
A willingness to learn and share.

During the Training

Make sure you log in as yourself on the lab computer. Do not stay logged in as a student. Logging in as yourself will ensure that you have access to all the files in your G:\ drive.
If you don't see a program icon on the Desktop, you may find the program you are looking for by going to the Start menu > All Programs and looking for it there.
